ولا زال مؤشر أسعار البنزين مستمر في الصعود المتسارع يوميا. وقد فاقت

سرعته سرعة انخفاض مؤشر شعبية وزير الصحة السعودي مؤخرا. بشرتنا وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية خلال أشهر الشتاء بأن سعر جالون البنزين قد يصل إلى الأربعة دولارات خلال أشهر الصيف، وها نحن لازلنا لم ندخل الصيف رسميا و المؤشر قد كسر هذا الرقم. مع أزمة الرهن العقاري التي تعاني منها الولايات المتحدة تأتي أزمة ارتفاع أسعار الوقود لتصب المزيد من الوقود على النار – مثل مناسب جدا -

على عكس البلاد التي الاقتصاد فيها ليس مبنيا فقط على المتاجرة في التراب والمضاربة على أسهم شركات الغنم ، فإن لهذا الارتفاع تأثيرات كبيرة جدا على كل أوجه الحياة أولها أسعار المواد الغذائية التي لا زالت في ارتفاع مستمر، تقول التقارير أنه و خلال السنة الحالية ارتفعت أسعار المواد الغذائية في المتوسط بنسبة تقارب ال30% وهي أعلى نسبة ارتفاع في سنة واحدة منذ السبعينات. المطاعم أصبحت تعاني

من ازدياد تكلفتها، حتى مطاعم مكدونالدذ اشتكت من أن سعر بيع منتجات ال $1 menu items لا تغطي تكلفتها!

في القطاع الأمني أعلنت إحدى المحافظات أنها ولكي تبقى ضمن حدود الميزانية

HANNA-BARBERA

Almost all my childhood afternoons, and most early mornings ended with the scene shown on your left. The ending sign of the Tom & Jerry show showing the HANNA-BARBERA Production title. I guess I was lucky to be from one of the generations which enjoyed this lovely show, and the amazing Flinstones, Scooby-Doo. I hated Scooby-Doo , but it used to air immediately after Tom & Jerry and everytimne it starts I tell myselfe ok I’ll just see what’s this episode about, and then I just watch till the end.

This week, Joseph Barbera one of the creators
of these shows - and many others- died at age 95,
5 years after William Hanna died in 2001.
The Hanna-Barbera team brought smiles, amusment and pure joy to millions and millions of kids and adults alike around the world…Their creations will be around for longer than they did, and they will be missed.

Tip for Fellow Bloggers

Something stupid that bothers me A lot when I’m wandering around the blogosphere, it’s not worth mentioning, I’m not even sure if it bothers anyone else but me, but damn it IT IS ANNOYING, and you must hear about it I have literaly came across this type of post hundreds of times, it goes like this:
“It is 2:00 am in the morning, and I am very tired, and I don’t know what to write about….”

OR something like:

“Its 3:00 am here and I have work tomorrow, and I’m posting to let you know what am gonna be posting about tomorrow, after I get some rest…”

Tip: If your blog address line does not read ” http://www.cnn.com ” please just go to sleep SILENTLY!

I feel better now.

Why I started blogging?

Okay, I will tell you why I started this blog. Ever since the days of webpages when folks who didn’t really matter - like me- hopped on the wagon of web presence and started to dig- in the Learn HTML in 7 days and Master FrontPage in 21 days and the likes, and this idea of having a web presence is on my mind - well not constantly I did have a life -. I One thing was stoppin me and that was: what if I built a webpage and it sucked?! what if it turned out to be Not Perfect? what if
people I knew saw it, and they didn’t like my taste in web design?!!!!! However that did not stop me from learning HTML, makes numerous pages with FrontPage, trying FLASH, - and when blogger first came out I proudly got my own blog and tried all different templates and silly posts but made sure that I delete them right AWAY. I even bought a domain name just in case I some day build that magical illusive website!

A decade goes by and blogging becomes the hype just like cell phones in the late 90’s, and this idea is still somewhere in my “un-concsious” -okay I made this last term up but you got the idea, who will read this blog anyway
Couple of weeks ago I ame across this news report on CNN. The report says that according to an Internet monitoring company called NetCraft which trackes Web growth since 1995, a mammoth milestone was reached during the month of October 2006. there are now 100,000,000 internet sites that have content! While reading the news article 2 things poped immediately in my head:
1) I remembered that extremely funny TV commercial made by a broadband internet provider in the U.S where a guy sitting on his desk browsing the internet hopping from site to site, and suddenly he reached a screen that says: “CONGRATULATIONS! You have Reached The End of The Internet!” hint: he’s got a pretty fast connection. That was in the early 2000 and it was hilarious.
2) Second and more important thing that hit me in the head was this: if there are now 100,000,000 sites out there, what are the chances of a silly site being noticed?
