Apple’s wireless iPhone & CISCO’s VOIP phone also called iPhone
Looks like the first phone call Steve is going to receive on his iPhone is a call from CISCO’s lawyers.
CISCO officially filed a complaint in Federal court only one day after Apple revealed iPhone. CISCO is claiming it ownes the name iPhone.
CISCO owned the trademark name “iPhone” since 2000, however the trademark remained largely unused until, in December last year amid intense speculation over a possible iPhone release from Apple. CISCO unveiled its voice over internet protocol (VoIP) handset phone -pictured above- through its Linksys division, which is called iphone.Will Apple see this as trouble? Naaah
